Clearer Thinking – April 2024
Spring has definitely sprung!
It was a blessing having the bank holiday after the clocks had changed, at least this year we didn’t get caught out! I enjoyed the first Bank Holiday weekend of 2024, especially as it was a bumper four day weekend, and I managed to put work to one side for all of it!
I’m enjoying the lighter mornings, and the sunnier days are definitely putting a smile on my face! I hope you’re using it as an excuse to get out and enjoy nature wherever you are.
AMPACC Has Helped Change Lives!
As we start gearing up to a new financial year, we are also making space and looking forward to the new 2024 cohort.
We enjoyed stand-out success last year in supporting over 45 voluntary organisations across 9 boroughs around the country to carry out financial analyses to improve their strategic financial decision making. This helped them to better understand, ask for and secure the full costs of their services, providing their service users with the stability, confidence and assurance that the support that they need will be sustained for the long term.
Are you interested in starting your AMPACC journey?
This year Clear Thinking Consultancy will be delivering even more impact as with the support of John Lyon’s Charity we already have agreements in place to support another 40 voluntary organisations in 2024.
We started the year with space for a further 20, and two of you have already snapped up your places. If you’d like to know how to get involved please get in touch.

Helping you to Think Clearer with Clear Thinking Coaching
Did you know we do coaching??
When I developed The Leadership Catalyst support programme, I was aiming to provide a safe space for socially driven leaders to enjoy a more fulfilling leadership experience whilst maximising their impact in their respective social justice fields.
I was concerned at how the pandemic had exacerbated existing challenges for these leaders and knew those risks were multiplied for CEOs who were under-represented in the charity space. Many of our clients were experiencing burnout and worsened mental health, struggling with the pressure that comes from the unique position of sitting in-between a board of trustees and as leader of their executive team with expectations from both sides to provide reassurance, answers, certainty and inspire confidence during such an uncertain time.
Those challenges still exist in an under-resourced sector, and it struck me that these leaders were becoming more insular, with fewer opportunities to meet with and learn from like-minded peers to share their experiences and support mutual learning, only adding to the feeling of isolation.
So, every fortnight for 90 minutes, I decided to hold an intimate, confidential and safe space to explore collectively the burning issues that were sapping their energy, frustrating their efforts and compromising their values. They, in turn, committed to support each other and to actions to implement back in their own workplaces and wider lives. We shared our results, celebrated our wins and gave each other a much needed boost of support when needed.
Participants began to shift from a feeling of collapsing over the finishing line of a day to feeling energised with enough left in the tank to enjoy and be fully present for life outside of work.
It’s an amazing programme for Charity CEOs that really delivers on every level!

It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to support the future leaders of Richmond and continue to showcase how impactful The Leadership Catalyst really is.
We are opening up applications for our next The Leadership Catalyst cohort.
